This a great place to get to know the history of Las Vegas. They have a day your and a night tour. 

Tips: student, teacher, senior, military and Nevad residents discount ($12 versus $18).

Absinthe at Caesar Palace

Fantastic show, adult uncensored comedy (if you are easily offended by religion, race, sexual orientation jokes, this is not the show for you), acrobat, a bit of cirque du soleil, and wire balance.

Tips: you can bring your own drink into the tent. The drinks in the tent or area are  $13 a drink. 

Zumanity at New York New York

Straight up erotica cirque du soleil, very sexual on content. A little bit on the strip tease type cirque du soleil.


V - The Ultimate Variety show at  Planet Hollywood was worth seeing, it is more along the line of lots incredible talents into one.


Shows not worth seeing: Zarkana at Aria, this show is going away in April and we got a really good deal of $99 for 2 = $145 after taxes and fees.  The show really didn't have a plot and seems to just be random talents showcasing their abilities.

Las Vegas Must try for Foodie!

Lotus of Siam ($)

Located off the north end of the strip off Sahara, always packed however if you are a party of two and you don't mind waiting at the low end 15 minutes and at the high end 60 minutes.  They also take reservations however, don't try to call the day off, make reservations well in advance.

My recommendations are:  pad Thai, crispy duck with drunken noodles, papaya salad, Tom yum noodle soup and chicken larb. I always get it pretty spices, in the 7-8 range out of 10 and this place does it. They have habernero peppers and Thai chili peppers that they mix into the sauce (Awesome). I used to only seeing dried chili pepper flakes as oppose to fresh peppers and never with habernero also.

The portions are on the smaller size for the dishes I mentioned above with the exception of the duck. The curry is good but not amazing so not a recommended dish. 

The amazing fried banana and coconut ice cream (this is two dessert in one order, they have the coconut ice cream separate from the fried bananas and I ordered them together - so the portion is obviously huge). 

Wicked Spoon at The Cosmopolitan ($$)

Located at the cosmopolitan hotel, one of the two best buffets, Ceasar Palace Bacchanal is the other amazing buffet.

The differences between Wicked and Bacchanal is that the setup is not the same as the typical buffet setup in Vegas, it has a very clean upscale feel and is not as busy as Ceasar, almost a hidden Jem.

Bacchanal always has a long line, the wait could be 2 hours on the weekend for non vip folks. We waited two hours once and even made friends in line.

The selection is significantly bigger than Wicked. There is a sushi station, pho station, udon, noodles, Chinese, dessert Buffet separate from the main buffet with everything you can imagine. A separate buffet for seafood, chefs special of the day, steak, etc.  The cost is significantly more however, it is a must try, at least once for the experience.

Alex and Ani bracelets

Pros:

Super cute bracelet and has absolutely awesome meanings.  Cost: $28 from Nordstrom, also available on their site (alexandani) and Amazon. 

Comes in silver and gold.

Cons: sets off the airport metal detector like no other. I basically took everything I could think off and it came down to just the bracelet.  Even my watch and rings didn't set off the metal dectector like this beauty.

So beware and make sure to take it off or put in you bag before going through.
